Epona
Undoubtedly one of the most revered divinities of Gallic mythology. Patron saint of travellers, she was always depicted with her horse. The restaurant of InterContinental Lyon - Hotel Dieu Executive Chef Mathieu Charrois, was named after this great goddess. Located all along the imposing facade of the Grand Hotel - Dieu, and enjoying views of the Rhône river as well as a convivial terrace nestled into the Saint-Louis courtyard; the menu offers predominantly local flavour, featuring revisited timeless Lyonnais classics. One of the Chef's most iconic dishes is the K'nelle, a modern-day version of a tried and trusted regional specialty. Epona bespeaks camaraderie and sharing, featuring generous casseroles for two people. Sharing and generosity is the motto of this delightful restaurant.
